Chairperson's Message

Welcome to the Bexley Nepalese Community (BNC), a registered charity community organisation established in 2008 and formally registered in March 2016 with the Company House as a company limited by guarantee.

BNC is dedicated to fostering the well-being and empowerment of the community and leading the way in building an inclusive and progressive community in the UK.  The primary objective of this charity is to bring the Nepalese community together and help them integrate into British society while maintaining our unique identity. The charity has a strong relationship with the local council, local MP, and various other charities. It organises several educational and cultural events throughout the year.

The charity's day-to-day activities are run by an elected executive committee, which is elected every two years. A board of trustees and a board of advisors help and supervise the executive committee.

We believe in the strength that emerges from unity and the shared values that bind us as a community. Our community is particularly unique, with a significant representation of Gurkha Veterans and individuals from the British Gurkha Armed Forces. These esteemed members form the backbone of our community, enriching it with their rich heritage, resilience, and commitment to service.

Our projects and activities have received recognition through various awards, including the Civic Recognition of Outstanding Achievement Award in 2022, Healthy Communities in 2023, and Successful Communities in 2023. These awards reflect our commitment and positive impact on the people we serve.

As we continue our journey, we invite each member to actively participate, contribute their unique talents, and join us in shaping the future of our community. Together, we are not just building an organisation; we are creating a legacy of unity, resilience, and progress that will endure for generations.

Thank you for being a part of the Bexley Nepalese Community—a community that takes the lead in weaving a story of unity, empowerment, and integration.
